IPI SLC: A Professional Learning Community

The International Psychotherapy Institute brings mental health professionals and faculty together to study with international contributors at the leading edge of the field.

A Message to Our Friends

It’s been a few challenging years with COVID and the changing landscape of continuing education. Because of that, we’re taking a break to recoup, rethink, and reimagine. If you’d like to share your thoughts or comments, about anything, but also about past or possible future events, we’re very interested in hearing from you (you can email us at ipislc@comcast.net). We won’t have local IPI programming this year, but we’re still here, and we’ll be back in touch.

About IPI SLC:

IPISLC, an Affiliate of the International Psychotherapy Institute offers training opportunities for psychotherapists at all skill levels, from student to seasoned clinician. IPISLC is part of a larger organization, the International Psychotherapy Institute (IPI) located in Washington DC. Together, IPI and IPISLC provide a wide variety of programs to suit your interests and time-frame - from afternoon paper presentations by local writers to a nine-month videoconference series with master speakers, to multi-year certificate programs. Through IPI and IPISLC you can improve your practice and earn continuing education credit too. You'll find a secure learning environment in which to learn object relations and psychodynamic theory, integrate it with your own experience, and apply it to your clinical practice. Our multidisciplinary faculty, both on the local and the national level, include well-known practitioners who are among the leading writers and educators in the field. They present courses in all aspects of psychodynamic theory and therapy that will appeal to every mental health professional. We hope to meet you at one of our training events, and we look forward to talking to you about the learning opportunities we offer.
