Our Mission

IPISLC is committed to contributing to the ongoing growth and development of our professional community by providing:

• High-quality, affordable training in psychodynamic and Object Relations theory and technique for clinicians at all levels of experience who are seeking to deepen their understanding of therapeutic methods and processes
• Open access to training programs, by welcoming new and occasional participants, and by offering extensive satellite programs, linking Salt Lake City to national and international presenters
• Support to program participants and graduates who want to assume teaching and supervisory roles, through mentoring and supervision by IPISLC faculty
• A spirit of intellectual openness and curiosity while remaining grounded in an Object Relations approach to thinking, learning and teaching
• Support for research and theory development
• Support for community service and outreach to under-served populations
